Therapy is for anyone looking to improve their quality of life. Whether you’re dealing with a specific crisis (like a breakup or job loss), long-term issues (like anxiety or depression), or simply want tounderstand yourself better, therapy provides a safe space for growth.
There is no "one-size-fits-all" answer. Some clients find relief in 6–12 sessions (short-term/goaloriented), while others prefer long-term support for deeper self-exploration. We will regularly check in on your progress to ensure the pace feels right.
Yes. What you share in therapy is legally protected. There are very rare exceptions (such as if you are a danger to yourself or others, or in cases of child/elder abuse), which we will discuss in detail during our first meeting.
It’s common for one partner to be more hesitant. I recommend a "trial session" to see how it feels. However, if they refuse, we can still do "Relationship-Focused Individual Therapy" to help you navigate your role in the dynamic.
In couples therapy, the relationship is my client, not either individual. My role is to remain neutral and help you both understand the patterns that keep you stuck, rather than assigning blame or "winning" an argument.
Absolutely. "Discernment counseling" is a specific type of therapy for couples where one or both partners are unsure if they want to stay. It helps you gain clarity and confidence in your next steps, whatever they may be
Yes. This is a proactive way to build a strong foundation by discussing values, finances, family dynamics, and communication styles before the "big day.
Family therapy views the family as a "system." Instead of focusing on one "problem" person, we look at how everyone’s interactions contribute to the family’s health. We may see the whole family together or various members in smaller groups.
For minors, parental involvement is crucial. While children need a private space to speak, I regularly meet with parents to provide tools, updates on progress, and strategies for home life
